生活型

形態特徵

  • Small Trees or shrubs; ultimate branchlets ridged, glabrous.
  • Leaves thin-coriaceous, elliptic or oblong-oblanceolate, 4–6.5 cm long, 1.5–2.5 cm wide, glabrous on both surfaces, acuminate or acute at apex, attenuate or cuneate at base, margins finely serrulate; petioles decurrent, glabrous, 2–5 mm long.
  • Flowers 1–4, axillary; pedicels 1–3 mm long, bracteoles 2, attached at apex of the pedicels. Male flowers: sepals 5, rounded, 1.5–2 mm across; petals 5, oblong, 3–4 mm long, 2–3 mm wide; stamens about 15, anthers oblong, rudimentary ovary present. Female flowers: sepals and petals similar to those of the male flowers; petals oblong, 2–2.5 mm long, 1.5 mm wide; ovary ovate, glabrous, 1.5 mm long; styles 2–3 mm long, 3-fid, segments 0.5 mm long, recurved.
  • Fruit black, globose, 3–4 mm in diameter, mucronate.

分布

  • 台灣 : in the northern part at low altitudes.
  • 世界 : S, SE, SW & C China, India, Sri Lanka, Indochina, the Philippines and Java.
